Mike Ode has done a number of projects for us. He was originally referred to us by our architect. We own
a 1913 Denver square and needed some restoration to ceiling box beams in the foyer and living room. Mike completed the repair/restoration and his craftsmanship is absolutely impeccable. Mike also did a complete bathroom remodel at our mountain cabin, built a new mission style mantel for a basement fireplace, and transformed our original front screen door into a storm door. My wife and I have worked with Mike Ode on several large projects over the course of 8+ years. West Elevations did a fabulous job putting a new kitchen in our 105-year-old Washington Park home. Mike worked well with our designer and provided outstanding advice to us. All of the "surprises" that come with working on old houses were handled with integrity and professionalism. My husband and I decided to begin a major renovation to our historic home in the Baker District in 2006. With a baby on the way, this decision was stressful on so many levels. After interviewing several general contractors, we met Mike Ode. His professional and calm demeanor along with his attention to detail quickly put him at the top of our list. He listened to us and what we wanted from the project. He offered us a lot of ideas for how to achieve our goal, a beautifully remodeled historic home, that kept with the theme of the neighborhood, but still allowed us to put some of our modern touches in to the mix as well. Mike and his team were very considerate of us all during the process, especially since we did remain in the house for a good portion of the project. After approx. 8 months Mike had turned our house into a home. His attention to the original craftsmanship, truly gave us one of the most amazing houses in the neighborhood. Whenever we are outside someone always stops to comment on our house and are surprised to hear that we did add on an addition. With Mike's selection of reclaimed bricks, painting and meticulous woodworking, the addition is seamless. Mike and his team are very easy to talk to, extremely hardworking, dedicated and trustworthy. It makes us proud when our neighbors stop to ask us about our home, but what I am really thinking is...hmmm you should see our master bedroom!
